Guest Comments: A Romantic Getaway https://glynnhouse.com/guest-comments Our thanks to the reviewer from NYC for sharing her experience at the Glynn House. The reviewer mentioned luxurious bathrobes and Lindt chocolates. Our guests rooms also have DIRECTV, DVD players, Afghan blankets, A/C (for warm summer days), romantic fireplaces (expect the Hoover Bedroom, iPod radios plus elegant furnishings. Lots of guests rave about the Inn’s breakfasts – one dozen entree choices, fresh fruit, homemade muffins, juices and lots of fresh coffee or a large selection of quality teas. New Hampshire’s White Mountains and Lakes Regions offer visitors a wide range of recreation activities. We’re always happy to match guest interests with local activities.  Thanks too for mentioning our Green Features. We’re serious about improving our environment and are appreciative when guests are supportive too.

The Flying Monkey brought the reviewer to NH. It’s less than 10 minutes from the Inn. Many Inn guests combine a stay at the Glynn House with a show at he Flying Monkey. The theatre is intimate. Prices are reasonable. The range of entertainment is mind boggling.

“My boyfriend had booked the Glynn House as our romantic hideaway during a trip up from NYC for the weekend. While the music at the Flying Monkey had brought us to New Hampshire – it was the hospitality of the Glynn House that made our stay memorable. It’s the smallest touches that usually make a good B&B experience — a GREAT one. So let me tell you those now:

– The room was cozy (w/ a fireplace!) and tucked away on the 2nd floor.

– White luxurious robes hung in the closet awaiting our arrival

– 2 Lyndt chocolates rested by our bedside with daily bottles of water

– Breakfast in the morning was a real treat. We had the pesto + poached egg and pancakes. It wasn’t so much the food – but the lovely owner/host Glenn who was running back and forth from the kitchen making sure all of our coffee had been topped off and food arriving hot whilst making sure all the guests had ample activities for the day.

– Glenn had given us maps and personally helped us plan our stay with recommendations for hikes and outdoor activities.

– We had an unusual departure time on Sunday at 6am – he had personally arranged to have muffins and bananas in our room so we’d have breakfast for the road.

All in all – I would stay at the Glynn House whenever I return to New Hampshire.”

Room Tip: Check in early so you don’t miss the wine+cheese hour at 5:30! Green Features: I liked that they allowed us to re-use towels from day to day cutting down on electricity use for our towels. Stayed September 2014, traveled as a couple
