Spring Itinerary

Itinerary for 2, 3 or 4 days

After arrival, relax on one of our wrap-around Victorian porches. Have a pot of tea or freshly brewed coffee. Take a walk around the grounds, wander into the quaint town of Ashland or simply relax. Complimentary wine is served between 5pm and 6pm.

Day 2: Owls Nest Golf Course
Fresh coffee, tea or hot chocolate are available 24 hours a day. Breakfast is served at individual tables in the tranquility of our gracious dining room. After breakfast, head for the award-winning, championship Owl’s Nest Golf Course. Enjoy the stunning mountain views. After the game, stop and enjoy a delightful lunch at the 19th hole Sunset Room. Approximate driving time to Owls Nest 12 minutes.

Day 3: Fish Lake Winnipesaukee
Looking for a relaxing day on the water? Book a trip with a local fishing guide. Whether you’re looking to sit back and reel in some fish or for a full hands on fishing experience. Fishing NH’s spectacular lakes is a terrific experience. Charter can include boat, equipment, lunch and guide. Approximate driving time to boat dock is 15 minutes.

Day 4: Welch Dickey Loop Trail & Zip-Line Adventure Tour
The Welch Dickey Loop hike is the only major route up the two mountains. It is very popular because of the vast number of open ledges and panoramic views over Waterville Valley. It usually takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete the 4.5 mile circuit. After your hike, head for Campton and stop for a casual lunch the Little Red School House. Schedule an afternoon Zip-Line Adventure at Alpine Adventures. You’ll experience a true “treetop” canopy tour, the first in New England. Return to the Inn along scenic NH Route 3. Approximate driving time to Welch Dickey Loop trailhead, 25 minutes; drive from trailhead to Campton, 10 minutes; drive back to the Inn 15 minutes.
