expect all of our guests to demand high standards. We’re always pleased when a “very picky traveler” takes the time to share a Glynn House experience that was almost perfect. The unrivaled service, genuine hospitality, outstanding breakfast and elegant decor have all been retained since the reviewer stayed. The suite referenced now has multiple new seating options plus a king bed, which replaced the original queen. Our response to this review is tardy. We apologize. I am a very picky traveler. I hardly every call someplace perfect but the Glynn House comes close. We stayed for two mid-week days in January 2008. I was skeptical from the start because I’ve had some bad experiences at mom and pop operations but the Glynn House really came through. The owners struck the perfect balance between tending to our every need and leaving us completely alone. This is not easy to do. We had a two-room suite in the building across a small parking lot from the main house. It was snowy and icy, but the grounds were kept clear and slip-free and meticulously maintained. Our room was spotless with a tall four poster bed in the inner room and a luxury bath with robes, a deep whirlpool and other top amenities. The outer room had a couch that folded out into a bed, a gas fireplace that we could control, a TV with cable and rental movies available, Free high speed internet was available. The only complaint I have about the room is that there weren’t more comfortable seating options. Beyond the one small couch, there weren’t any other really comfortable seating options. Several times a day, staff would arrive and leave snacks (cookies, coffee, etc.) in the hallway outside of our room. We went to the main room each day for the complimentary breakfast which was superb and varied and based on local fresh ingredients.
