for a number of days. His extended visit provided ample opportunity to ‘stress test’ cuisine, service and hospitality. As a previous guest, he understandably compared his early 1990s visits. We’re very pleased with the reviewer’s ‘five star’ endorsement. New Hampshire’s Lakes Region provides visitors a spectacular environment. We’re delighted yet another guest has confirmed that the Glynn House is a superb place to stay.
“It’s often said that one can’t go home again. I have found, over the years, that while this is frequently the case, it is thankfully not always so. After an absence of more than 25 years, I returned to the Squam Lake area and to what had been something of a home away from home for me during my visits there during the early ’90s: the Glynn House Victorian Inn at Ashland, New Hampshire. I had feared that this delightful place, under new ownership, would have lost something of the inviting warmth and charm I remembered so fondly. I needn’t have worried! Owners and attentive innkeepers, Glenn and Pamela, have not only maintained the beauty and quietly romantic Victorian character of the Glynn House, but have brought “to the parlor” new warmth, good cheer, sparkling conversation, and superlative restaurant recommendations (drawn from first-hand knowledge). To top it off, they provide a wonderful variety of delicious breakfast options for their guests, amongst which is a scrumptious stuffed French Toast that is not to be missed. I was absolutely delighted to return to the Glynn House Victorian Inn after so many years, and look forward to many more visits in the future. There are times when one really can go home again! N.
