The owners were very nice and inviting, and they have a couple of Dalmatians that are shy and friendly. We traveled to the destination through a winter storm, they tried to reach out, unfortunately my mailbox was full, my bad. Once we arrived they just wanted to let us to know that they’re rearranging our accommodations so that it was safer and easier to get to our rooms. This is definitely is our favorite place to stay, we have a few that we enjoy spending quality time together, so I highly encourage and recommend a couple nights here,. We love this place for a number of reasons: it’s a quaint, beautiful inn with lots of atmosphere; the hosts—Glenn, Pamela and Ingrid—are so warm, welcoming, and people-oriented they make their home your home; every room is different and beautifully appointed; the noise level is akin to a library, even when the Inn is full; the included breakfast every morning is delicious offering a variety of regular selections with two “specials”. Pamela cooks, Glenn serves with a dose of humor—makes for a great wake-up call!The Inn’s location is superb! The daily breakfasts were lovely – Glenn was a delightful host and the food was very good and substantial. We received great advice on nearby restaurants and things to do in the area. Unexpected joys: the Inn was actually very quiet, in spite of it being almost full. The rooms are well appointed and clean. Our room was cool even though we were experiencing a bit of a heat wave. Now–22 years later–we celebrated her 50th birthday and our 22-year anniversary with a return trip to the same B &B, and we stayed in the same room (Jefferson Suite). I am happy to report that the Glynn House remains a fantastic place for a getaway. The location allows you to benefit from the Lakes region of NH, and it’s close to the charming downtown of Plymouth, NH, as well as interstate 93 for quick highway access. Yet, what makes the Glynn House 5 stars is how it mixes the charm of an older building with modern accoutrements. The Jefferson Suite (highly recommended!) is perfect for a couples getaway with a 2-person jacuzzi tub, a gas fireplace, and a separate sitting room. Breakfast was delicious, and–unlike many B &Bs–there are a lot of choices made to order. Every day has a savory special and sweet special, in addition to several always-available choices. My wife’s gluten allergy was taken care of, which was important to us. Tea and coffee are available all day, as is ice. The innkeeper, Glenn, made us feel welcome. Google 5 Stars – Amanda https://www.glynnhouse.com “My boyfriend and I had the most amazing stay at Glynn House Inn for the new year. Parking was very close to the main entrance. There were only a few other guests during the nights we stayed and we couldn’t hear them. Our room was very clean, the shower had fantastic water pressure, and the fireplace was lovely. For those wondering, the fireplace comes on automatically based on thermostat settings, so if the room temperature dips below the set temperature then the fireplace will light on its own. All the settings can be modified and you’ll be given a sheet with all pertinent information when you check in. Glenn, one of the innkeepers, was a wonderful host. He had plenty of information about local restaurants and activities, and was overall very pleasant to talk with. He also maintains suggestions on the inn’s website, which was a great source of information as well. Breakfast was available between 8:30 and 9:30am with a standard menu, in addition to daily specials. One of the specials was savory, and the other was sweet. The specials didn’t appear to repeat for the few days we were there, so if something catches your eye, go for it! After placing our selections, we were also offered plates of fresh fruit, a muffin, and coffee and/or juice. I cannot eat a lot in one sitting and Glenn offered a small ziploc bag so I could take my muffin with me, which I found very thoughtful.
