Guest Comments: Lovely accomodations among the trees! https://glynnhouse.com/guest-comments The reviewer and his partner knew what they wanted and restate those objectives at the offset of their review – fireplace, hot tub and pet friendly. What made their visit really special, not just okay? Those requirements are detailed in the narrative: genuine hospitality, great food, refined surroundings, useful amenities, and personalized service. We’re delighted we delivered. Look forward to hosting Patrick, Thomas and their four-footed canine pal again.

“My Partner and I desperately needed some R&R and time away from our busy lives. After extensive research I came across Glynn House Inn. We had quite the list for what we wanted, and this B&B did NOT disappoint! We required 1. Fireplace 2. Hot tub / whirlpool bath  3. Pet friendly. If this is what you want, look no further.

When we arrived we walked right in as if it was our home – and this will be the “theme” of my review. Glynn greeted us at the door and knew exactly who we were. We were brought into the sitting room then the kitchen where we were offered “red or white” wine or sherry. So impressive to be greeted with wine immediately! We were faced with the infamous “DVD wall” that they have. This wall is so awesome! It’s like a little blockbuster video right there for you to borrow from. We took a few flicks, filled out our paper work, greeted their loving and darling Dalmatians, had a few laughs and were lead to our digs.

Glenn brought us into the Carriage House, which is pet friendly – and when I say that I think it is just Doggos – no cats. We stayed in the Roosevelt Suite which I believe is the best room in the entire Inn. I say this because it has the most square footage and amenities. Just skip the rest and book Roosevelt. You feel like you have your own apartment in the Carriage House.

We stayed two nights. Night #1 we went to get take out Sushi and wanted to enjoy the room. We did! We put a DVD in and it was a little interesting with the Sony Trinitron – made me feel like I was young haha! The picture needed some adjusting but we enjoyed the movie. After, we drew a bath and sat in the lux bathroom of the Roosevelt suite. It is important to remember that this is a VERY old house. Part of why you go there is for the age of the house. We just loved the heavily New England finishes and feel to the room. The finishes are Brass which reminds me of the 90’s – very very nice. The tub worked perfectly and we felt so relaxed and calm!

Breakfast was a complete highlight at Glynn House – we LOVED the beauty of the main house. There is a great window in the dining room that showcases the beauty that lies just outside. You feel like you are eating among the trees! Glenn is a very gracious host and is SO attentive to your needs. They have a very diverse menu that caters to all – very inclusive. I had the Pesto toast with poached eggs. They make eggs exactly how you like them, every time. Glenn engages you in wonderful conversation and offers fantastic things to do when you are in Ashland and the surrounding area.

We mentioned several times how we felt like we were “home” and visiting our parents from out of town. Just so very “home-ie” and cozy – we just were able to enjoy each other without the stress of having to deal with much else. Our 16 pound Dachshund did really well. They offer a place to take him out and he felt welcome too – we liked that.

I should also plug that as a gay couple we felt very comfortable and welcome! They are very open minded and friendly – they really love what they do. Like most B&B owners, they have a history of past careers and lives – which brought them to New Hampshire. I feel lucky to have spent the weekend there. We can’t wait to return!!”
