delighted the reviewer and her husband enjoyed their winter Glynn House getaway. The suite they selected – named after Theodore Roosevelt – is favored by many guests. It’s also dog friendly, as are most of the other guest rooms situated in our Carriage House – core structure 1895 construction. Pleased to note that our breakfasts received a favorable mention too. “A Lovely Getaway in Southern New Hampshire My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Glynn House Inn. We wanted a few nights away for a break, and we both feel that we got that at this very welcoming and comfortable Inn.
We stayed in the Roosevelt Suite in the Carriage House. I was a little concerned that because the suite that we chose was listed as not being in the main inn, that it may be a modern building and lack character, but that was not the case at all. The Carriage House is located just behind the main Inn building in a solid building which I would guess is only slightly younger than the main Inn – lots of character.
The Roosevelt Suite was exactly as pictured and described on the innkeepers’ website – it has an enormous bed which was very comfortable and had nice bedding. A short set of steps is provided on each side to ease access onto the beautiful, high bed – this was fun!
The bathroom is very large with a shower, toilet, and a jet tub. The living room was very comfortable with nice decoration and furniture. Our favorite feature of this suite was the large gas fireplace – it made the suite feel so cosy. We ate a great breakfast every morning.
The host, Glenn, was a very welcoming and interesting man who has travelled the world and who, at our encouragement, regaled us with stories of his travels. He had recently returned from a photography trip to Africa, which he had visited many times.
I would recommend this inn to anyone, especially since it allows a dog to stay if you are in the Carriage House. There was no “doggy” odor or sign of dogs having stayed there – the place was spotless throughout.” Stayed December 2025 Traveled as a Couple
